Fall Season Tournaments

The game schedules for the fall end-of-season tournaments are now complete, and can be found below. Opening these files requires software that can view PDF files, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. It can be downloaded for free here.

In case of inclement weather each tournament has make up dates already set. Check your bracket.

Note also the additional rules that will be in place for each of the three brackets:

No grace period - games must start on time.

Seeding based on season rankings after week seven.

Higher seeded team is home.

No time limit for games.

One pitch for any inning started after 55 minutes of play.

Each player may only play for one team during the playoffs.

Fall Season Game Schedule

The fall season is scheduled to begin play Friday, September 5. The regular schedule wraps up Friday, October 24. For the full schedule of games click here.

Teams will not be allowed to take the field until a roster has been submitted to the league president. The team application and city/county roster forms can be found here. Submit your forms by email to crystal.mcsl@gmail.com.

Score books will be delivered to the fields Friday. If you ordered softballs with your league fees they will be distributed at the fields as well.

Rules for the fall season can be found here. Note that Division Two teams will use the double (safety) home plate.

Fall Softball Registration Open

The Fall 2008 softball season will begin play Friday, September 5 and run for eight weeks (16 games). The team fee for play at Valley View will be $680. The fee for teams at Dean will be $450.

To register your church for the fall league, contact Crystal Terrant by email (crystal.mcsl@gmail.com) or in person to indicate interest, then submit your league fees and fall roster as follows:

League fees are due to Jeff Brown, MCSL Treasurer (jeff.brown@brownsinsurance.com) no later than August 20. Team rosters must be submitted (also to Jeff) by September 5. A roster must be submitted before teams will be allowed to participate.

Any church league player(s) looking to play who do not have a team should also consider contacting Crystal. Some of our teams are short of players, and others are looking to combine.

Coaches Meeting

Please mark your calendar for Thursday, August 28 at 7pm, for our end of season coaches meeting. We will be offer pizza and sodas for coaches to enjoy while we wrap up the season. At this time you can propose rule changes for consideration and may continue to do so through the end of the year.

County Championships

The 2008 County Championships will be played Monday, August 11, at Valley View Park. Manassas Church League regular-season division champs will be matched against the corresponding division champs in the Woodbridge church league.

A Note from the President

Hello everyone....

Well it looks as though the season is almost at the half way point. Hard to believe especially for some teams who have had nearly all their games rescheduled due to rain.

It looks like we are all having a fairly competitive, and for the most part trouble free season. I do know there have been a few issues with contacting me and I would like to address that now. I do check my email account for MCSL as often as I can, if you have an URGENT matter please contact me at CTERRANT19@AOL.COM this will ensure I see and can address your concern in a timely fashion as this is my work email.

I do have a few rule issues that I would like to remind all teams of:

Fairmont Makeup Games

Important! Due to limited daylight, makeup games at Fairmont will begin at 6:30. Please check the updated schedule on the standings pages, as some Fairmont games were originally posted as 7:00 start times.

Rain Out Games

As of May 28, all rain outs to date have been rescheduled. Coaches are reminded to check the standings pages for the date and times of games rescheduled due to rain. Remember to double check fields and times of rescheduled games, since makeup games may be on different days of the week and at different fields than regularly scheduled games. Rescheduled games will be posted with at least a one week notice to allow coaches time to communicate with their teams.

Parental Consent Form

Coaches are reminded that players under 18 years old must have a completed parental consent form on file with the league. Please use the form below for players turning 15 to 18 this year. Completed forms may be turned in to a league officer during Friday games at Valley View Park or mailed to:
