The game schedules and matchups for the End of Season Tournaments are now available. This is the final version of the brackets.

Note: the Division 5 championship series (shown as Friday, July 30 at VV5) could get moved to Monday, July 26th if Seventh-Day advances.

All rules for the tournament games are the same as those for the regular season...except two:

    1. All games will play 7 innings (or to the mercy rules), but must go to one-pitch at beginning of next inning after 1 hour has elapsed.

    2. All games will start on schedule, or as soon as the previous game finishes. There is no grace period. Please be sure all your players are at the fields early. If you have less than 8 players at the field when your game is ready to start you forfeit your game.

Welcome to the 2010 season. Regular season game play begins today. The full schedule of games is now available here. Be sure to double-check the schedule before you head to the fields. It is still possible that there may be some last-minute adjustments. UPDATE: Version two of the practice schedule is now available here. Several practice field requests have been added. To sign up for an open field contact league scheduler Joe Sak.

Regular season games will begin the third week in April. Divisions 5 and 6 have their first games scheduled on Monday, April 19th, conditional upon completion of the Early Bird Tournament. Divisions 1-4, and Division 7 first take the field for official games on Friday, April 23.

All league fees must be paid in full and both rosters submitted before teams are eligible to play.

Player uniform rule will be enforced starting May 17.

The March coaches meeting will be held at 7pm, Monday March 15 at Manassas Assembly of God. This is in Bristow, same location as the February meeting.

The City/County roster should have up to 15 players. All players on this roster must be Prince William County residents. Include addresses. The City/County forms can be found here: Excel, plain text.

Coaches will be contacted via email by January 20 with a meeting agenda and to collect updated contact information. A league fee estimate will also be provided. If you are not contacted or have other questions, email Fred Lewis at mcsl@comcast.net.

  • $150 non-refundable deposit is due.
  • Election of officers.
  • Discussion of proposed rule changes.
  • Preliminary division layouts.

More upcoming dates for your calendar: A second coaches meeting will be held Monday, March 15th. League play will start the week of April 19th. Team practices will be scheduled starting April 2-16. The Early Bird Tournament for church division will be April 16 and 17.

Several ASA rule changes have been enacted for 2010. Yellow softballs only. Teams with white will be able to use what you have, but new purchases will be yellow only. To the dismay of pitchers nationwide, the maximum pitching arc has been reduced to 10 feet (from 12).

Crystal Terrant has resigned her position as league president. Fred Lewis will assume that role between now and the coaches meetings where nominations and voting for permanent officer positions will be held per league bylaws. Volunteers are always needed and welcome! If we don't have a position that fits your specific skill we'll make one for you. Joe Sak has taken over the league scheduler position from Luke Croushorn. Many thanks for their long hours and commitment to making MCSL succeed and grow to the largest adult softball organization in PWC.
